About the place
The building stands on Hercules Square at no. 6 and is a listed monument (CS-II-m-B-11012.01). Its present form dates from the 18th century, with rebuilding in the 19th century and in 1926. The baths were in use until after 1989 and then abandoned.
A private operator cleaned the rooms and opened them to visitors without a real restoration: walls and pools were left as they were. You see the central hall, old pools with thermal water, individual treatment cabins, the Apollo spring and panels on the resort's famous guests. The town hall stresses that it is not a classic museum, and there is no bathing in the pools.
Good to know
- Hours and tickets are set by the private operator and can change; check Google Maps before you go.
- This is not a place to bathe: the water in the pools is not used for treatment.
